Every Tightening Measured, Counted and Documented
On trucks, tractors and heavy machinery, critical joints must reach the right clamp force and be counted and documented. That takes an impulse wrench with a built-in transducer connected to a controller: the system counts only OK joints and flags any error on the spot, for zero fault production.
The Yokota transducer
- Strain gauges on the main shaft measure torque at each impulse, as close as possible to the socket
- Contactless signal transmission by induction: reliable, accurate and wear-free
- Angle sensor mounted on the same shaft (TKa series with angle monitoring)
- Impulse mechanism with no kick-back: almost no reaction to the operator, even at high torque
Errors the system detects
- Insufficient or excessive torque · friction out of tolerance
- Bolt too long or too short · seizure
- Cross-threaded, crooked or damaged threads · double tightening · blind holes
The torque of each model was measured on Yokota testers at 0.63 MPa dynamic air pressure and is a guideline only: the actual range drops with lower air pressure, extension bars, torx or internal hex sockets and soft joints.
